Coca-Cola Code of Conduct for Product Manufacturers Production site activities At TCCC, we support a fair employment relationship with our employees, so that our employees can enjoy human rights consistent with our commitment to human rights related to the working environment. At the same time, we are committed to providing them with a safe working environment. We comply with all applicable and related to working hours, compensation, whether employees choose a third party as a representative for collective bargaining, working conditions, and all other aspects related to the working environment. We are also committed to creating a working environment that protects the dignity of employees, respects employees, and treats employees fairly. We recognize the different values of employees, respect and advocate the differences in different cultural backgrounds and the diversity of employees' beliefs.
We expect product manufacturers to comply with the relevant laws and regulations and industry standards and guidelines of the countries in which they operate. At the same time, all product manufacturers that produce products bearing the TCCC trademark must comply with the requirements related to working conditions as defined in the TCCC Code of Conduct. Work Environment
We expect product manufacturers to establish a principle of non-illegal discrimination by judging their employees on the basis of their ability to perform their jobs rather than on physical or personal characteristics or beliefs. This principle should be against any discrimination based on race, color, sex, religious beliefs, national origin, or sexual orientation.
Health and Safety
All product manufacturers should provide a safe and sanitary working environment to minimize the risk of accidental injury and exposure to risks. Product manufacturers should ensure that workers in the production area have access to clean drinking water, clean sanitary facilities, adequate lighting, ventilation, and sufficient escape exits and fire extinguishers. The same standards should be met in canteens and dormitory areas. Product manufacturers must provide training to promote production safety and reduce work-related accidents.
child labor
We require that our product manufacturers do not employ any worker below the minimum working age in their country. Child labor refers to any worker under the age of 15 or younger (if the local country or region stipulates that the legal working age is lower than 15). If the local country or region stipulates that the legal working age is stricter than 15, we require the stricter standard to be implemented. Official documentation related to the age and date of birth of each worker must be kept.
Forced Labor
We require product manufacturers not to use forced and involuntary labor, including all involuntary work practices such as indentured labor, prison labor, and slave labor.
Salary and Benefits
We require product manufacturers to pay their employees fairly in the competitive environment of the industry and to fully comply with local laws and regulations related to wages and working hours, so as to provide equal opportunities to develop the skills of employees. Product manufacturers must provide various benefits required by local laws.
Working hours
Product manufacturers cannot require workers to work more than 48 hours a week, work overtime more than 12 hours a week, or work more than 60 hours a week. This also includes the working hours requirements set by local laws and regulations. In addition, product manufacturers must ensure that workers have at least one day off every seven days.
Labor-Management Negotiations
In any event, employees have the right to choose a third party to negotiate on their behalf with product manufacturers in accordance with the law. We expect product manufacturers to negotiate as promised and ensure that employees will not be retaliated against for their participation in labor organizations in accordance with the law.
Environmental Protection
We expect product manufacturers to conduct their business in an environmentally friendly manner. At a minimum, we expect our suppliers to comply with local environmental laws and regulations. Product manufacturers include subcontractors/subcontractors that use our trademarks. TCCC's Code of Conduct applies to all subcontractors/subcontractors at different levels (such as subcontractor rooms) that use our trademarks. All these subcontractors/subcontractors at different levels are collectively referred to as product manufacturers.
Supervision and authority
Product manufacturers shall designate one or more management members to monitor the factory's compliance with the standards set forth herein. Product manufacturers shall use social responsibility organizations recognized by TCCC. Product manufacturers shall conduct social responsibility audits on an annual basis and submit reports confirming compliance with the TCCC Code of Conduct. Product manufacturers shall allow social responsibility organizations designated by TCCC to participate in audits of product manufacturers to confirm compliance. Such audit visits include unannounced on-site inspections of the factory, review of all employee-related materials, and confidential interviews with employees. Any product manufacturer who is unwilling to comply with the TCCC Code of Conduct or refuses to be inspected will result in the immediate termination of business with TCCC. Each product manufacturer must submit a report that passes the social responsibility audit within one year of the date of the initial audit in order to continue to use the TCCC trademark. TCCC has the right to verify the authenticity of the report with the auditing organization.
Exemptions
When purchasing is through Li & Fung, TCCC's promotional products, procurement and social responsibility inspections of service providers and product manufacturers are all carried out by Li & Fung's internal social responsibility inspection team. According to our agreement with Li & Fung, this team has been approved by TCCC Global Certification Department to monitor and inspect the social responsibility of product manufacturers using TCCC trademarks. The internal social responsibility inspection team of Li & Fung provides a "pass" social responsibility audit report for product manufacturers. In addition, TCCC Global Certification Department closely monitors the conduct of Li & Fung's internal social responsibility inspection team.
publicity
We expect product manufacturers to communicate the Product Manufacturer Code of Conduct to their employees. The Product Manufacturer Code of Conduct should be communicated in the local language and posted in a prominent and visible place.
