New Balance Introduction
New Balance is headquartered in Boston, USA. It is one of the world's leading sportswear manufacturers. Its products include various types of sportswear and the first sports shoes for boys and girls of different widths. New Balance products are extremely diversified to meet the needs of different types of activities and people, including running series, walking series, multi-functional training series, basketball series, tennis series, mountain climbing outdoor activities series and children's series. In 1906, Mr. William J. Riley founded a foot arch support company called New Balance in Boston, USA, specializing in custom-made orthopedic arch supports and corrective shoes. One day, when he was observing the chickens in the yard, he found that the chickens' three claws could maintain balance, so he applied the inspiration to the design and development of arch supports, and the name New Balance came into being. The fact that Mr. Riley got inspiration from the shape of the chicken's claws has also become a legendary story.

As the business continued to develop, in the 1950s New Balance began to manufacture professional sports shoes for local runners, including the track and field team of MIT. In 1956, Paul and his wife bought New Balance from Mr. Riley. Since then, shoe manufacturing has developed into the company's main business that has grown steadily. In 1960, New Balance produced the "TRACKSTER" series of sports shoes, which was the world's first sports shoe that could provide multiple widths of lasts, which became a pioneering move in the shoemaking industry.
