eBay officially launched eBay Authenticate in October 2017 to help buyers provide luxury goods authentication services to prevent counterfeits. eBay Authenticate will allow sellers to list luxury handbags and wallets worth more than $500 and then receive 80% of the final selling price.

eBay offers higher commissions than The Real Real, using a tiered structure where items priced $1,500 and under have a 55% commission, with only fine watches having commissions exceeding 80%.

How to create eBay Authenticate?

1. Start by creating a listing for your product.

2. Send it using a prepaid USPS shipping label, or drop it off at a participating FedEx location and they will pack it and ship it to the expert for free.

3. Independent experts authenticate your buyers, list, sell and ship handbags.

4. You will get paid when the handbags are sold.
