4. Appoint a dedicated person to be responsible (to ensure compliance with CoC and SCOT traceability system requirements)

2. CMiA Cotton Two Execution Systems

CMiA MB (Master Balance Mode):

CMiA cotton is strictly distinguished from other cotton or other cotton at the source farm and ginning mill, and is clearly marked (valid CMiA certification, with CMiA logo in sales materials). Physical tracking of CMiA cotton is required from cotton production to spinning mills. From the above spinning mills onwards, CMiA cotton does not need physical tracking, and spinning mills can have the following three behaviors:

(1) Processing only CMiA cotton, the yarn contains solid CMiA cotton and is marked as CMiA yarn;

(2) A blend of CMiA cotton and non-CMiA cotton, labeled “CMiA” yarn.

(3) Replace CMiA cotton with non-CMiA cotton and label the yarn as “CMiA”.

Under this model, the SCOT system strictly records specific situations, does not allow the production of excess CMiA cotton, and promptly follows up on inventory. The final product must contain at least 5% cotton, has been marked CMiA and uses the "Support CMiA Initiative" label. Under this model, retailers are not allowed to have product CMiA content declarations.

CMiA HIP (Strict Identity Preservation Mode):

CMiA cotton is distinguished in documents and in real form from cotton farmers to retailers, and is always clearly marked (valid CMiA certification, CMiA logo in sales materials). It must not be mixed with other cotton materials, but it can be mixed with other fibers . The transportation company must also have CMiA certification. Spinning machines do not need to be cleaned when switching between CMiA production and non-CMiA production. If the "Cotton made in Africa Inside" logo is to be affixed, the final product must contain 50% CMiA cotton and the rest any other non-cotton fibers .
