Middle Eastern e-commerce platform noon.com has announced a new partnership with online retail giant eBay to provide more services to its customers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The partnership will allow customers to place orders directly on noon.com for eBay merchandise, which will then be delivered by noon.com. One of the ways eBay and noon are collaborating is that starting from the second half of 2018, users in the Middle East and North Africa can directly place orders on noon to purchase goods on eBay, and noon will complete the payment and delivery of the goods. According to the cooperation agreement, it will also have its own exclusive APP and provide a complete return and refund process. Mohamed Alabbar, founder of noon, said, “Through the cooperation with eBay, we will connect the Middle East and North Africa region with global e-commerce and provide customers in the region with products that are not easily available locally.” However, this seems to be a smart move for UAE e-commerce platform noon.com, after all, its competitor Souq was recently acquired by Amazon. |
