SA800 certification standard knowledge

First, let us get to know SAI. SAI : Social Accountability International is a non-governmental international organization composed of different interest groups. It aims to improve working conditions and enhance understanding between labor and management by developing and implementing social responsibility standards.

       SAI is responsible for developing and revising the SA8000 certification standards, conducting cost-benefit studies, accrediting auditors, and providing training and technical support to help companies improve the social compliance of their supply chains.
       The SA8000 certification standard focuses on nine major elements: child labor, forced labor, health and safety, freedom to organize trade unions and the right to collective bargaining, discrimination, disciplinary measures, working hours, wages, and management systems.
