Nordstrom audit basics

Starting from November 2003, all factories producing for NORDSTROM have to undergo an annual comprehensive factory inspection. This inspection is conducted by a third-party notary firm commissioned by NORDSTROM every 12 months. The specific time depends on the inspection results. The inspection mainly includes three parts: visiting the factory, checking previous relevant records, and interviewing managers and employees.

Check the operation process:

1. A third-party notary public will inspect the factory

2. Leave a copy of the inspection results to the factory and send the inspection results to NORDSTROM's social responsibility department.

3 After carefully reviewing the inspection results, NORDSTROM will prepare a corrective action plan.

4 NORDSTROM will send the corrective plan to the factory and reiterate the remedial measures

5. The factory must complete the items that need improvement within the time specified in the corrective plan.

6 Check again to see if the problem has been resolved
