Mattel Factory Inspection/Inspection Consultation Dormitory and Canteen Safety

• Are dormitories separated from production plants and warehouses? Is the number of people in each room appropriate and is there space available?
The maximum number of employees in each room cannot exceed 16. The area available to each employee cannot be less than 1.86 square meters. Employees must have their own beds.

•Are the general conditions of the dormitory safe and clean?
The width of the corridor must not be less than 1 meter. Each dormitory must have 2 exits. Each worker must have a locker with a volume of at least 0.11 square meters and 4 cubic feet. The escape route must be marked and unobstructed.

•Does the dormitory have adequate toilet and shower facilities and are they clean and safe?
Shower heads must be cleaned regularly. Floors must not be slippery. Sufficient ventilation. Doors must be installed to ensure privacy. Hot and cold water must be available. Toilets must have effective flushing systems. Toilets and their facilities must be clean, maintained and usable. Trash cans must be available.

•Are toilets and sanitary facilities sufficient and are they clean and safe?
Each dormitory floor must be equipped with a restroom. For every 12 employees, there must be at least one toilet cubicle/urinal. The number of wash basins and/or faucets cannot be less than half the number of toilet cubicles/urinals.

•Are the kitchen and canteen facilities adequate and are they safe and clean?
