When we talk about ISCC, we usually refer to ISCC EU and ISCC PLUS. ISCC EU is a certification system that proves compliance with the statutory sustainability requirements set out in the European Commission's Renewable Energy Directive (RED) and Fuel Quality Directive (FQD). ISCC PLUS can be used in all markets that are not regulated by RED and FQD (such as food, feed, chemical/technical markets or bioenergy markets outside the EU) for certification systems. The core requirements of ISCC EU and ISCC PLUS are the same. Only one audit is required to obtain two certificates for all markets.
