BSCI Ten Codes of Conduct

1. Laws and regulations: The company strictly follows the requirements of BSCI, operates in accordance with the law, pays taxes in accordance with the law, employs workers in accordance with the law, maintains the physical and mental health of employees, ensures that employees' wages are not lower than the minimum standards set by the local government, and provides employees with a healthy, safe and harmonious working environment. Conduct various types of training in a timely manner, respect everyone's legal rights, and all the company's business operations are carried out under the supervision and constraints of international conventions, laws and regulations, labor organizations and industry standards.
2. Freedom of association and negotiation: According to the Trade Union Law of the People's Republic of China and Articles 87, 98, 135 and 154 of the International Labor Organization Convention, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of employees is the basic responsibility of the trade union, which is a mass organization of the working class formed by voluntary association of employees. Employees can participate in the democratic decision-making, democratic management and democratic supervision of their units through employee representative conferences or other forms.
The trade union mobilizes and organizes employees to actively participate in economic construction and strive to complete production and work tasks. It educates employees to continuously improve their ideological and moral, technical and professional, and scientific and cultural qualities, and builds a workforce with ideals, morality, culture, and discipline. The enterprise, the trade union committee, and employee representatives coordinate and supervise each other. According to changes in the market, environment, and living standards, employees can put forward their own suggestions and measures in an organized manner through the trade union, and freely communicate with the company on labor remuneration, welfare, working environment, and other matters, and have equal dialogue.
3. Prohibition of discrimination: According to Articles 100, 111, 143, 158, and 159 of the International Labor Organization Conventions and relevant national regulations, all manual and mental workers in the enterprise, regardless of nationality, politics, ethnicity, gender, occupation, age, religious beliefs, education level, etc., enjoy legal rights and are protected by law. No organization, enterprise or individual may obstruct, restrict or deprive employees of their rights. Respect personal privacy, respect the weak, the disabled and women, and give priority to providing suitable positions, equal pay for equal work. Eliminate all discrimination such as sexual orientation, sexual harassment or judging people by appearance. Fairness and equality, only meritocracy.
4. Compensation: Pay employees' wages and overtime pay in full and in a timely manner (cash or bank card) according to the established standards. Do not deduct workers' wages and items under any pretext. The wage standard paid shall not be lower than the relevant government regulations. Provide free training for employees, provide medical assistance and related medicines in a timely manner, handle social insurance for employees, and configure, provide and distribute labor protection supplies in a timely manner. At the same time, we require suppliers to work with us to fulfill Articles 26 and 131 of the International Labor Organization Convention and relevant national laws, regulations and policies.
5. Working hours: Actively implement Articles 1 and 14 of the International Labor Organization Convention and relevant national laws and regulations. Employees are required to work overtime voluntarily, and the company pays wages and overtime pay in full: based on the basic salary, 1.5 times the regular salary, 2 times the weekend, and 3 times the holidays, to ensure that each person does not work overtime for more than 12 hours per week, has at least one day off per week, and is free to take leave. Women, pregnant women, marriage, maternity, sickness, and funeral leave are implemented in accordance with the law or resolved through joint consultation (see the employee handbook).
VI. Safety and Health: Care for the life and health of employees, strengthen preventive measures, avoid potential threats and unsafe factors, and conscientiously implement national laws and regulations and Article 155 of the International Labor Organization Convention and Articles 164 and 190 of the International Labor Organization Recommendations. Establish a complete safety mechanism and facilities, strengthen fire fighting skills training and drills, ensure that safe passages are unobstructed, various warning signs are clear, and prevent illegal use of electricity. Fire fighting equipment is maintained, inspected, and updated by dedicated personnel, and problems are solved in a timely manner to eliminate all safety hazards.
Mechanical safety facilities must be fully equipped, and cooks, electricians, elevators, and motor vehicle operators must be certified before they can take up their posts. The company provides free physical examinations for new and old employees once a year (blood tests can be applied for by themselves), and the work and office spaces are kept ventilated, spacious, and bright. Infrastructure construction and SMDS publicity are strengthened to reduce environmental pollution and harm to the body.
Regularly disinfect dormitories, canteens and public areas to prevent epidemics, and provide meals and water to employees in a timely manner. The canteen prohibits the purchase of spoiled, expired and contaminated food. Set up an emergency room and equip it with relevant medicines and equipment, and provide professional training for nursing staff.
VII. Child labor: Strictly abide by national laws and regulations, and avoid recruiting and using child labor. If child labor is found, it should be protected and contacted with its guardian as soon as possible, or the company should send someone to send it home at its expense, and provide it with school opportunities as much as possible, in accordance with the provisions of Articles 79, 138, 142 and 182 of the International Labor Organization Conventions. Care for underage workers, do not arrange overtime or night shifts for them, the working environment cannot harm their physical and mental health, and they should have regular physical examinations. The company gives priority to arranging relatives of underage employees to work in the company to ensure that underage workers can grow up healthily. Do not discriminate against underage workers, equal pay for equal work, give priority to learning and training opportunities, strengthen ideological and moral education, and improve employment skills.
8. Prohibition of forced labor and punitive measures: Do not delay or deduct wages or other items under any excuse or reason, and do not impose corporal punishment, fines, threats or intimidation on employees. Overtime is voluntary, and employees are not verbally abused, coerced or forced to work or work overtime; violence or other physical contact is not used to solve problems, and employees’ wisdom, labor, personality and freedom are respected; employees are not forced to sign unequal contracts or other agreements; employees are not forced to engage in dangerous operations; bribes from employees and suppliers are not accepted; and personal searches are not forced or personal freedom is not restricted. Employees who are sick or unwell can be appropriately adjusted to other positions.
IX. Environment and Safety: Strengthen the construction of environmental protection infrastructure, control the discharge of sewage and pollutants to a minimum, operate in accordance with the standards and procedures of relevant departments, and handle or recycle chemical waste and its packaging as required.
10. Supervision and management of BSCI: The company appoints a senior manager to lead this work, organizes all managers to study the relevant content of BSCI carefully, and promotes it to employees and various positions, with full participation and comprehensive implementation. Continuously improve and enhance in learning and practice, and improve the unfeasible areas. In all business activities and personal behaviors, oppose bribery and corruption. Once discovered, immediately investigate or transfer to the public security department for handling, and put an end to the bad behavior of sheltering and condoning.
