First of all, the objects of certification are definitely different. Objects of GOTS certification: textiles produced with organic natural fibers. Objects of OCS certification: non-food products produced with recognized organic raw materials. Secondly, the recognition of the certificates is different. GOTS customers do not recognize OCS certificates. OCS customers recognize GOTS certificates; As for why? The reason is that the standard requirements of GOTS are higher than those of OCS. Then the scope of certification is different. GOTS certification scope: different product requirements in three aspects: product production management, environmental protection, and social responsibility. OCS certification scope: OCS product production management. Finally, the requirements for raw materials are different. GOTS: Contains 70% organic natural fibers, no blending is allowed, a maximum of 10% synthetic or recycled fibers (sports equipment can contain a maximum of 25% synthetic or recycled fibers), and no genetically modified fibers. OCS: Contains more than 5% of raw materials that meet recognized organic standards. |
