The purpose of the training is to help franchisees and their manufacturers better understand Mattel's Global Manufacturing Principles. Establish a communication channel between Mattel and franchisees and their manufacturers: Assess your needs and concerns Share success stories and best practices Provide the latest Mannatech requirements GMP Scope The Global Manufacturing Guidelines apply to all units involved in the manufacture, assembly and packaging of all products or packaging distributed under the Mannatech trademark. GMP Purpose GMP provides guidance and minimum standards for production plants, assembly centers and distribution centers engaged in the production, assembly and distribution of Mattel products. GMP requires that workers be provided with safety and fair treatment, while protecting the environment and respecting the cultural, racial and ideological differences of each country. Licensee Responsibilities: Have a thorough understanding of the contents of the Global Manufacturing Standards (GMP). Communicate GMP to each factory involved in the production of Mattel products. Assign a dedicated person to handle GMP matters and be responsible for the liaison between each factory and Mattel. Work with each factory to select a contact person for GMP matters. Report factory information to Mattel, such as manufacturer agreements, distributor agreements and factory declaration forms, listing all factories involved in the production of Mattel-branded products, including subcontractors. In the event of adding or terminating a factory relationship, Mattel should be notified immediately. Submit each plant's manufacturer agreement, distributor agreement or management compliance report to Mattel. If you participate in other Code of Conduct programs, you should inform Mattel. Production can only be officially started after ensuring that all factories have complied with GMP. Work with each factory to ensure GMP standards are met. Notify each factory of the review schedule. Pay for the first and subsequent reviews as per the contract. Following the review, corrective action reports should be submitted to Mattel on a monthly basis until improvements are achieved. Ensure corrective actions are completed within specified timeframes. If the factory's contract is terminated, Mattel will no longer allow them to produce any Mattel products and will remove all Mattel-branded products, including molds, base plates, engravings or other tools used to produce licensed products, and confirm that they have been removed or demolished. Factory ResponsibilityLearn more about the contents of Global Manufacturing Practice (GMP). At least one representative should be designated as responsible for the GMP program. Designate employees and authorize them to allow auditors to inspect the factory, review records, documents, and contact workers. Fill out the factory's manufacturer agreement, distributor agreement, or management compliance report and submit it to Mattel. Assessors are allowed to tour the factory, review required documents, and interact with workers. After the review is completed, review the violation report and develop a plan to correct the relevant violations. Notify the Licensed Producer of the implementation of the Corrective Action Plan. The corrective action plan will be implemented and the licensed manufacturer will be notified of the corrective actions. Upon completion, the licensed manufacturer will be informed of the results, including the specific actions taken and the completion date. Ensure that GMP requirements can be continuously met. |
