(1) Cancellation of the upper limit on transaction fees

Sellers without an eBay store will no longer be subject to a cap on final value fees.

Let’s say you have a product listed in the Headphones category, eBay will continue to charge a 5% final value fee, but there will no longer be a cap of £20, which means if the product sells for £425, eBay will charge a final value fee of £21.25.

(2) Selling Manager Pro

From January 1, 2018, only eBay store users will have access to Selling Manager Pro (a professional selling expert, a tool designed by eBay for sellers).

Fee adjustments for commercial sellers For sellers who subscribe to Superstores, the bad news is that the monthly fee will increase from the original £269 per month to £399 per month. The good news is that they will have the right to use eBay's Concierge Service (customer service).

eBay Concierge is a free service provided by eBay to certain UK sellers. Sellers with eBay Concierge access will have direct access to eBay's professional team and will also receive a tailored sales problem resolution plan.

Starting from April 1, 2018, the transaction fee for individual sellers with eBay stores will be increased from 8% to 10%. This also applies to individual sellers without eBay stores.

Individual sellers only need to pay a store subscription fee of £19.99 per month to enjoy 100 free listings per month, and 35 pence per listing beyond that.

eBay points out that individual sellers "You may also want to consider upgrading to a business seller account to access more Shop options". This may indicate that there are many businesses disguised as individual sellers. In this case, eBay hopes to encourage them to register as business sellers by charging fees.
