Coca-Cola aims to make 100% of its packaging recyclable by 2030
Recently, Coca-Cola announced that it will reshape its global strategy for sustainable packaging, aiming to help achieve 100% equal recycling and reuse of the company's packaging by 2030. It is understood that making all packaging 100% recyclable and reusable is the core goal of Coca-Cola's global sustainable packaging vision. The efforts of Coca-Cola and its bottling partners will focus on two major directions: First, investment in packaging innovation. In order to achieve the 100% recycling goal, Coca-Cola will continue to make progress in the work of 100% recyclable packaging materials, and will continue to innovate and research and develop. By 2030, Coca-Cola plans to use an average of 50% recycled materials in packaging raw materials, hoping to promote a new global benchmark for beverage packaging. At present, most of Coca-Cola's packaging materials are recyclable and reusable. James Quincey, President and CEO of Coca-Cola, said that beverage packaging should not harm our planet, and a world without waste is achievable. All companies that use packaging, including Coca-Cola, have a responsibility to seek solutions. Coca-Cola's vision is to create a world without waste. Second, investment in environmental protection By 2030, for every package used, Coca-Cola will strive to recycle a similar package for recycling. Coca-Cola will participate in the packaging recycling of the entire beverage industry, including recycling beverage packaging produced by other companies, and will work with relevant government departments, local communities, industry partners, customers and consumers to jointly solve the problems of packaging discard and marine waste.
