The difference between ISO9000 and ISO9001

The difference between ISO9000 and ISO9001
Let’s talk about ISO9001 first:

ISO9001 is one of the core standards of a quality management system included in the ISO9000 family of standards. The ISO9000 family of standards is a concept proposed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 1994, referring to "international standards developed by ISO/TC176 (International Organization for Standardization Technical Committee on Quality Management and Quality Assurance)".

ISO9001 is used to verify that an organization has the ability to provide products that meet customer requirements and applicable regulatory requirements, with the goal of increasing customer satisfaction. With the continuous expansion and increasing internationalization of the commodity economy, in order to improve product credibility, reduce repeated inspections, weaken and eliminate trade technical barriers, and safeguard the rights and interests of producers , distributors, users and consumers , this third-party certification body is not subject to the economic interests of both producers and distributors. It is fair and scientific, and is a pass for countries to conduct quality evaluation and supervision of products and enterprises; it serves as the basis for customers to audit the supplier's quality system; and the company has the ability to meet the technical requirements of the products they order.

All companies that have passed ISO9000 certification have reached international standards in the integration of various management systems , indicating that the company can continuously and stably provide customers with expected and satisfactory qualified products. From the perspective of consumers, the company is customer-centric, can meet customer needs, achieve customer satisfaction, and does not induce consumers.

Let’s talk about ISO9000:

ISO9000 does not refer to a single standard, but a collective name for a family of standards. The "ISO9000 family of standards" refers to all international standards developed by ISO/TC176. What is TC176? TC176 is the 176th technical committee in ISO. Its full name is "Technical Committee for Quality Assurance". It was renamed "Technical Committee for Quality Management and Quality Assurance" in 1987. TC176 is specifically responsible for developing standards for quality management and quality assurance technologies.

ISO/TC176 set a grand goal in the "Implementation Strategy of International Quality Standards in the 1990s" proposed at the 9th Annual Conference in 1990: "To make the ISO9000 family of standards accepted and used by the whole world, to provide an effective method for improving the operational capabilities of organizations; to promote international trade, and to promote global prosperity and development; to enable any organization and individual to confidently obtain any desired product from all over the world, and to successfully sell their products all over the world."

ISO9001 is one of the core standards of quality management system included in the ISO9000 family of standards. It includes four core standards: Quality Management System - Fundamentals and Terminology, Quality Management System - Requirements, Quality Management System - Performance Improvement Guide, and Quality and Environmental Management System Audit Guide.

The quality management system in the ISO9001 standard has gone through the following versions:

ISO9001:1994 —> ISO9001:2000 —> ISO9001:2008

The ISO9001:2008 "Quality Management System - Requirements" in the above standards is usually used by enterprises to establish quality management systems and apply for certification. It mainly regulates the quality management system of organizations by putting forward various requirements for the quality management system of organizations applying for certification. It is mainly divided into five modules of requirements, which are: quality management system, management responsibilities, resource management, product realization, measurement analysis and improvement. Each module has many sub-clauses. Beijing Yinglun Hyatt Management Consulting Co., Ltd. provides the best services to enterprises. With the promulgation of the 2008 version of the standard, enterprises around the world have begun to adopt the new version of ISO9001:2008 standard to apply for certification. The International Organization for Standardization encourages organizations from all walks of life to adopt ISO9001:2008 standards to regulate the quality management of organizations, and to achieve the role of enhancing customer confidence and reducing trade barriers through external certification.
