Hangzhou's footwear exports increased significantly in the first quarter
In the first quarter, the export of shoes in the area under the jurisdiction of Hangzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau grew steadily, with a total of 9.4124 million pairs of shoes accepted for inspection and a total value of US$34.794 million, up 21.10% and 31.02% year-on-year respectively.
According to the website of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China on April 7, the export of shoes in the jurisdiction of Hangzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau increased steadily in the first quarter of 2010, with a total of 1,820 batches of 9.4124 million pairs and a value of US$34.794 million, up 33.53%, 21.10% and 31.02% respectively compared with the same period in 2009. The main importing countries are the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Canada and Germany, among which the exports to the Netherlands and Belgium have increased significantly, especially the value of exports to the United States increased by 87.12%.
At present, the export trend of shoes has improved, but manufacturers still need to pay attention to solving the following problems: First, after the Spring Festival,
Enterprises have a large demand for labor, and it is difficult to recruit workers and there are many new employees. Second, due to the drought in southwest my country and the decline in rubber production, prices have risen, causing companies to increase production costs and reduce profit margins. If they are not careful, they will suffer losses. Third, the increase in factory inspections by foreign companies has also increased pressure from all aspects. The Hangzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau recommends that companies should, first, strengthen the training of new personnel to ensure the normal operation of each process; second, companies should focus on improving the rate of qualified products and reducing the loss of raw materials; third, they should improve the level of quality management of companies and respond to foreign factory inspections with a positive attitude to keep the export of shoes in a good momentum.
