What is ChaiPoint?

Founded in 2010, ChaiPoint has a variety of stores, from small kiosks to large red brick and white tile shops, offering a variety of traditional seasonings such as ginger, masala (spices) and lemon. It also offers curry puffs, egg waffles and various snacks that are popular in India.

ChaiPoint's current status:

From its first pilot store in Bangalore in April 2010, ChaiPoint has quickly grown to become the go-to brand for a perfectly brewed cup of Chai, selling over 300,000 cups a day.

ChaiPoint is present in eight cities - Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai.

ChaiPoint's development history:

In April 2010, the first store opened in Bangalore.

In July, the second store opened.

In August, the third store opened.

In December, paper prepaid cards were launched.

In 2012, the tenth store opened.

In June 2014, Chai-on-Call was launched; launching a website and mobile app.

In October, a mobile app-based prepaid card will be launched.

In February 2016, ChaiPoint launched the PrioriTea mobile wallet and rewards program.

In August, boxC.in was launched. boxC.in offers 4 varieties of fresh tea (classic tea, masala tea, elaichi tea and ginger tea), hot chocolate, milk and freshly ground coffee.

In October 2017, ChaiPoint began distributing tea through the e-commerce platform Amazon.
