Is it possible to fake orders on Shopee?

Where transactions can be made, fake orders are inevitable. However, fake order resources on Shopee are rare at present, so don’t ask me to introduce resources. I have never done it, and I don’t think it’s necessary to do it.

The number of orders and reviews are just two of the many factors that affect orders. If the keywords, timeliness, price, pictures and descriptions are not done well, it may also affect orders.

If fake orders are rampant, the platform will definitely have an anti-fake order system. It is not impossible that it will be as powerful as Taobao or Amazon.

Will Shopee have IP association?

There is no IP association at present, but it is estimated that there will be one later.

How many days does it take for logistics to reach Southeast Asia?

Taiwan, which is not in Southeast Asia, uses YTO International, and the goods can be delivered to supermarkets or consumers in about 4-7 days after being scanned and shipped out of the transit warehouse.

The first choice for Southeast Asian countries is the official SLS logistics, which can arrive in 7-15 days at the fastest. Of course, there may be unexpected delays occasionally, which may take 20-30 days or even longer.

Whether it is YTO International or SLS, there are volume, size, weight and banned products. Different sites have different regulations, which can be found in the documents given by the manager after opening the store.

Can I open multiple stores on the same Shopee site?

For ordinary sellers, no. For big sellers with resources and capabilities, I heard it is possible. You can consult the manager for details.

Will the Shopee store be closed if I don’t upload products after opening it?

It depends on the situation. Some people can open the account for a month without uploading anything, while others can be shut down after uploading less than 100 pieces in a week. It all depends on the manager you are dealing with. There will be different managers for different periods and different sites.

Can I use Chinese/English on Shopee?

The Shopee site in Taiwan can use Chinese, but people on the other side of the strait are accustomed to using traditional Chinese. Although they can also understand simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese is better.

The Singapore site also has a large number of Chinese people, so you can use Chinese, but English is more popular. The proportion of Chinese in other countries is not large. There is basically no barrier to English communication in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. In India, the Philippines, and Vietnam, the local language is preferred. If that is not possible, English is also preferred.

What should you pay attention to when doing Shopee?

1) Platform rules. You must be aware of the prohibited products on your site to avoid being shut down or even punished. Once, a strange merchant sent two live turtles to Taiwan, but they were detained at the customs and punished by the platform.

2) Religious beliefs. In some Southeast Asian countries, such as Indonesia and Malaysia, most people are Muslims. It is best to learn about their preferences and taboos.

3) Climate. Southeast Asian countries are all tropical countries, with temperatures above 20° all year round. Sellers who choose clothing categories should pay attention to this. I have friends who plan to sell down jackets in Southeast Asia without knowing it beforehand.

Although the weather is hot, because many people are Muslims, women cannot wear overly revealing clothes, so some long-sleeved clothes, swimsuits, or Muslim clothing will still sell well.

Is it possible to run Shopee without distributing products?

At present, the platform still encourages the distribution of goods. The more new products are released, the more traffic will be supported. Of course, the more is not necessarily better. I have seen some sellers with only a few hundred products, but they also have a lot of orders. If there are really not many SKUs, you can release new products in small quantities and multiple times.

You don’t have to have many categories to make it look like a grocery store. If you delve deeply into one or two categories, you can actually have a lot of products.

Does Shopee have overseas warehouses?

At present, the manager told me that the Indonesian site has overseas warehouses, but they are only open to big sellers. Other sites are expected to be opened in the second half of 2018. Whether or not you have the ability to operate overseas warehouses by then will be the watershed between ordinary small sellers and potential big sellers.

Overseas warehouses require higher operational capabilities, and any poor operation can easily lead to dead inventory, so this is something you should pay attention to.

Are there many Chinese sellers on Shopee? Is it too late to enter now?

It is never too late to study. Similarly, it is never too late to join in.

There are quite a few Chinese sellers on the site now, and with Shopee’s high-profile stance this year (Shopee has publicly solicited investments nearly 10 times since 2018), there will definitely be more and more Chinese sellers.

As time goes by, the threshold for opening a store will be higher, the rules will be more, and the traffic bonus will definitely be less. So if you want to enter the market, it is better to "get in early". Of course, if you lack resources and capabilities at present, it is best to join the company and cultivate yourself first.
