How to upload pictures on eBay?

You must upload at least one picture when listing on eBay. So, how do you upload pictures on eBay? Here are two methods to help you.

1. Use the image upload tool

● In the “Add Image” section of the posting form, click the “Add/Edit Image” button.

● Click the "Select Image from File Browser" button to find the image you want to add to your post. To select multiple images, press the Ctrl key (Windows) or Command key (Mac) at the same time, and then select the image files you want to open.

● The selected image will be displayed in the preview window. You can press the corresponding buttons to crop, rotate, adjust the brightness and contrast of the image, and then click the "Apply" button.

● You can select image features (the system will pre-select those that are free to use for listings) and when you are ready to upload your edited image, click "Upload".

Note:

- You can add images up to 7 MB;

- You can add multiple images to the upload window at one time.

2. Copy images from other websites

In addition to uploading eBay pictures yourself, you can also copy pictures from other websites. eBay will automatically display and store your pictures in the best way.

● In the “Add Image” section of the posting form, click the “Add/Edit Image” button.

● Click the “Import from URL” link.

● Find the image you want to upload and enter its URL in the field provided. Click the "Add another image" link to continue adding images.

● Click the “Import” button to copy the image into the posting.

Note:

- You can add images up to 12 MB in size.

- Upload images using the URL provided by your image management website.

- Images are normalized and stored on our website for use.

Other notes:

● Please try to use images with the longest side of at least 1600 pixels to get the best image effect. However, it is recommended that you do not enlarge the small image to meet the 1600 pixel requirement. The longest side of eBay images must be at least 500 pixels.

● You can upload images in the following formats: JPEG (extension .jpg), PNG (extension .png), TIFF (extension .tif), BMP (extension .bmp), GIF (extension .gif)

● If the image is in JPEG format, the 0 - 99 JPEG quality level should be 90 or above. The system will resize the image to the appropriate size before displaying it in your listing.

● All listings must have at least one picture, and you can add up to 12 pictures per listing. (Please note: there is a fee to add pictures to your eBay car listing.)

● eBay will store your images and they will remain available for 90 days after the listing ends so you can use them when you relist or sell similar items.

● Only new, unused items may use the default images. All other items should have images uploaded that show their actual condition.

● When listing used items through the eBay catalog, do not use the default images. Upload images that show the actual condition of the item.

● If images are hosted externally, make sure they are served over HTTPS.
