Amazon is an American brand. It is the world's largest e-commerce company and has a wide range of products, including clothing, electrical appliances, plastic products, small household electrical products, etc. As a supplier of Amazon, the conditions for factories are extremely stringent. The factory inspection is mainly divided into two aspects:

Amazon's factory inspection is entrusted to a third-party foreign audit agency for audit, quality and technical audit: TUV Rheinland, ITS Intertek, BV Bureau Veritas; social responsibility audit agency: ELEVATE (Hong Kong Da'an), BV Bureau Veritas International Inspection Group and other notary firms for audit. Amazon entrusts a third party to audit social responsibility with semi-notification, and the surprise audit period is half a month. The surprise audit window period is one week, but Amazon requires the audit company to call the company one day in advance to inform the company of the audit.

Amazon will verify whether suppliers comply with the guidelines, including third-party audits of on-site sites and independent interviews with employees. During the audit process, suppliers must promptly allow auditors to view sites and interview employees. If the audit finds problems, Amazon will require suppliers to provide detailed remediation plans shortly after the audit and take corrective and preventive measures in a timely manner. Amazon will track and supervise the remediation work, and relevant business personnel will also regularly review the implementation of improvement work.

How to write a good CAP (Corrective Action Plan) for Amazon factory audits. A Corrective Action Plan (CAP) is a document that records any issues found in an audit and the results of the factory's root cause analysis. We will discuss this process in the following training:

1. CAP is a tool that allows factories to communicate with Amazon about how to improve problem areas.

2. Amazon is committed to working with factories to establish a management system for social responsibility. Amazon's social responsibility team will help answer questions and provide guidance.

3. An effective CAP includes improvement plans that can solve the problem in the short term and prevent the problem from happening again. The more detailed the CAP is, the better. Clear completion time and corresponding responsible persons should be set for each improvement action.

A brief summary of the CAP management process:

1. When conducting a social responsibility audit, auditors use the CAP template to record the issues in the audit. A preliminary CAP will be shared with the factory at the audit summary meeting.

2. The audit company will conduct a quality assessment of the CAP to ensure that the problem points and recommended solutions are clear and consistent with Amazon's social responsibility standards.

3. After the quality assessment, Amazon will send the CAP to the factory in the form of an Excel spreadsheet, usually within ten days after the audit. The factory needs to conduct a root cause analysis of the problems in the CAP and form an action plan. Once the CAP response is completed, the factory will send the CAP to Amazon for review by email.

4. If Amazon needs more information about the CAP, it will send the CAP back to the factory for additional explanation.

5. Once the CAP is completed, Amazon believes that the factory has a practical and sustainable plan to address social responsibility issues, then the CAP will be accepted. Amazon will email the factory to let them know that the CAP has been accepted, and Amazon's relevant business personnel can discuss the next steps with the factory (such as training or the next audit date)

6. In order to quickly and effectively resolve the issues found during the audit, we require the factory to submit a complete and acceptable CAP within two weeks of receiving the CAP. Therefore, we recommend that the factory submit the CAP as soon as possible for discussion and explanation

There are five key elements to a high-quality improvement action plan:

1. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on the problem

2. Describe in detail how to solve the problem from the root cause

3. Set and execute a plan to prevent problems from recurring

4. Set the time to complete the improvement and the person in charge

5. Provide corresponding evidence of completed improvements
