On April 2, 2015, in Brussels, under the auspices of the European Foreign Trade Association (FTA), and at the initiative of more than 1,000 retailers, large multinational corporations and importers, BSCI and ICS, two major European social responsibility organizations, signed a formal document agreement. The agreement stipulates that BSCI and ICS will complete the merger on January 1, 2017. BSCI and ICS will unify their standards and processes and strive to continuously improve the working environment of the global supply chain to meet the social responsibility challenges of the increasingly complex global supply chain. BSCI and ICS will complement each other's strengths and cooperate wholeheartedly to provide customers with first-class systems and services with BSCI's monitoring and training activities and ICS's rich audit experience, and avoid repeated factory audits and increased costs. The agreement will last until January 1, 2017. The BSCI-ICS Joint Steering Group will coordinate and supervise the normal progress of the work. On January 1, 2017, BSCI and ICS will officially complete the merger. |
