Common electrical safety issues and solutions during BSCI factory inspections (V) Danger of electric shock due to exposed copper wires

Problem phenomenon: The exposed copper wire of the electric wire is dangerous for electric shock.
Solution: Add insulation measures to exposed wires.

      h) Are workplaces obstructed by distribution lines (eg electrical cords lying on the floor causing employees to
trip over them, electrical cords on tables, poorly installed electrical cords creating a risk of strangulation)?
      h) Is the workplace obstructed by distribution wiring (e.g. wires on the floor where workers may trip, wires on desks, poorly installed wires which may pose a strangulation hazard)?
      i) Are power hubs, electrical control stations, fuse boxes lockable?

      j) Are the boxes made out of non flammable material?
      j) Are the boxes made of non-flammable materials?
      k) Are light fittings, switches, plugs etc. in good condition, not broken and don't cause danger (electrocution)
to employees (missing cover for switches and plugs)?
      k) Are the lighting equipment, switches and sockets in good condition and not damaged and will not pose any danger (such as electric shock) (due to loss of covers on switches and sockets)?
      l) Do employees working with electricity have adequate qualification?
      l) Are employees whose work involves electricity adequately qualified?
