What is Otto?

Otto has 9 million registered users, of which 6.6 million are active customers, most of whom are between 25 and 55 years old. 62% of customers are married women with above-average incomes. It has 6,800 brands and 10 orders per second. It now has 195 shopping malls in 17 countries in Europe.

Otto's development history:

-In 1949, shortly after the end of World War II, Otto founder Professor Werner Otto founded what is now the world's largest mail-order company in Hamburg, Germany, starting with just a small order for shoes. To this day, Werner Otto is still the honorary chairman of the supervisory board.

-In 1981, Werner Otto handed over the management of the company to his eldest son, Dr. Michael Otto.

-In 1990, Otto launched a 24-hour express delivery service.

-In 2000, Otto launched the telephone ordering function.

-In 2007, 26 years after having been a member of the Executive Committee, Michael Otto joined the Supervisory Board and Hans-Otto took over as the new CEO of the Otto Group.

-In 2008, Otto Fashion Blog was launched.

-In 2011, Otto's mobile version m.otto.de was launched.

-In 2014, won the German Innovation Award.

-In 2016, furniture, home furnishings, lighting and the company's own stores were launched.

-In 2016, Otto’s online turnover reached 689 million euros, making it the largest online furniture and home furnishings company in Germany.

What are the entry requirements for Otto?

Otto Group has some requirements for retailers to be listed on its website. It allows merchants in Fashion + and Sports, Home and Beauty, Living and Multimedia. The product collection provided by retailers must be diverse and attractive, and the product content must be written in German. With a single inventory product data feed, ChannelAdvisor customers can list products on Otto.de, Schwab.de and Baur.de.
