The reasons why it is difficult to operate on the Ebay platform:

1. Association between enterprise account and personal account

Many sellers have finally registered an eBay business account and passed the tracking assessment of the business plan. However, one day, the account balance suddenly dropped from tens of thousands to single digits or tens of thousands. The sky suddenly fell, because all the listings of the basic account will be removed at the beginning of next month, and no listings can be modified this month. Why is this happening? Some sellers may know that they accidentally linked their other accounts to the business account they applied for, but there are also sellers who have never had an eBay account before and are real business accounts that meet the requirements of users. At this time, they can only blame their own dirty registration information for crying out loud! Sellers with a solid foundation need to operate the downgraded account to raise the balance again!

2. It is difficult to provide proof of address for registered account

Basically, most sellers’ companies are registered through domestic company registration agents, so the company’s business license address is also a virtual address operated by the agent. When registering an eBay business account, there is a requirement to provide a company address certificate (business license address), which needs to be provided by a public institution or government agency to be valid. This has stumped a large number of sellers. It’s not that they don’t want to provide it, but it’s simply not easy to provide it, so a large number of sellers’ account registrations died at this stage!

3. Monthly account rating

The changes in account ratings on the 20th of each month (after 3pm on the 21st, Beijing time) are like a nightmare. I don’t understand why a good account suddenly becomes restricted, and I feel at a loss. Many bosses ask for help everywhere, but they actually ignore the fact that eBay’s monthly account ratings are a normal pattern, and the eBay Seller Control Center actually shows how the rating will change next month, and also tells you the reason for the change and suggests how to improve it. However, many sellers only check it when they are restricted, and really don’t check it at other times, ignoring the module that must be checked every day when doing business on eBay!

4. Account business plan assessment

After registering an eBay business account, there is a business plan assessment, which is based on the categories, final logistics, sites, average order value, etc. filled in by the seller. When the seller's business does not meet the minimum standards of the business plan, there will be different restrictions. The most obvious is the change in sales quota. As a result, many sellers with poor foundations are finally filtered out by the business plan and don't know what eBay does!

5. SPK direct mail compliance ratio does not meet the standard

I was busy selecting products and operating, but the account balance suddenly dropped. I spent a long time looking for the reason. It turned out that the proportion of direct mail SPK orders greater than 5 US dollars was not enough. The company had adjusted the SPK order ratio before, and it was up to standard. How could it be non-compliant again? After a careful check, it turned out that the proportion of SPK orders greater than 5 US dollars changes every month. Oh my God, I want to cry but I have no tears!

6. It’s hard to create a hit product

It feels that it is difficult to make a hit product on eBay, and the order volume is not large. This is a common complaint of Amazon sellers who have switched. Amazon sellers often rely on one or two products to support the entire company, so they also think the same when doing eBay. However, they ignore that each platform has different policies, which leads to different traffic distribution. So you have to learn to adapt to local customs. There are those eBay platforms that can support the entire company with one or two products, but the operating requirements of such products are actually much more difficult than those of Amazon. Then, for other products, if you choose the right products, you can actually support the company with seven or eight products!
