What are the fees for opening a store on eBay UK?

1. Listing Fee

All sellers on eBay UK can upload up to 20 items per month for free, but cars, motorcycles and vehicles are not included. After 20 items, each item will be charged a listing fee of £0.35.

2. Transaction Fee

When the item is sold, the seller has to pay a final transaction fee, which is 10% of the final transaction price (including postage). However, the final transaction fee for a single item will not exceed £250.

3. Other expenses

If you want to optimise your listing, you may also have to pay additional fees. For example, adding a “Buy It Now” tag costs 50p, and adding a subtitle costs £1.

If you have good sales, it may be more cost-effective to open your own eBay store, which costs £19.99 per month, including 100 free listings and 35p for each listing above. In addition, the transaction fee is reduced to 8%.
