Services have four major characteristics: they are asexual, changeable, produced and consumed simultaneously, and cannot be stored, so standardized operations are even more important for service companies.

The service industry establishes and improves the quality management system to meet the needs of the enterprise itself, customers and society:

First, from the perspective of the service industry, the quality of service is a major factor in a company's performance. Currently, customers and society have increasingly higher requirements for service quality. It has been recognized by the majority of service business operators that service companies continue to improve service quality in order to obtain and maintain good economic benefits, and this has become a global trend. For a service company to succeed, how can the services it provides win in market competition? It must ensure that the services it provides meet the following requirements:

1. meet appropriately defined needs, uses and purposes;
2. Meet customer expectations;
3. Comply with applicable standards and specifications;
4. Comply with social laws , statutes, regulations, codes, standards, environment, health and safety factors;
5Promptly provide at competitive prices;
6. Continuously reduce costs to make the company profitable.

If an enterprise wants to achieve the above goals in the services it provides, it is required to establish and improve a quality management system.

Only by establishing and improving the quality management system, or successfully carrying out quality management, can enterprises be provided with important opportunities to improve service performance, increase efficiency, reduce costs, increase market share, satisfy customers and society, and make enterprises more profitable.

Secondly, from the perspective of customers and society, establishing and improving the quality management system of service enterprises is also the need and expectation of customers and society. Customers and society need enterprises to ensure that the services they provide meet the service quality requirements and have the ability to continuously maintain service quality, thereby reducing the risks and costs that customers and society have to bear when receiving services.

The establishment of ISO 9000 quality management system enables enterprises to have a complete set of guiding documents based on quality management theory and practice, providing a comprehensive overview of the service quality management system and giving the enterprise's quality management a standard and basis to follow.
