International application of HACCP certification

　In 1972 , the contribution made by the work of the Codex Alimentarius Commission was to provide technical training and the necessary material or economic conditions for the application of HACCP certification.

In 1988 , WHO pointed out in its work outline that countries should strengthen the promotion and training of HACCP certification in food hygiene education and training . In the same year, WHO recommended that in order to prevent Listeria contamination, countries should widely apply HACCP certification methods in food enterprises .

WHO/ International Commission on Microbiological Specifications for Foods and WHO issued guidelines on how to implement HACCP certification in 1991 and 1993 respectively .
