Price reduction manager

Markdown Manager reported some issues. On October 7, one seller emailed about delays in starting a sale (“Started sale today, now 7.5 hours in progress but still showing pending status”). Another seller via Ecommerce EKG reported on October 9 that a 35% discount was still available 5 hours after ending the deal. In a comment on this Ecommerce EKG report on October 15, the problems seemed to continue - “Cannot add items and sales seem to be taking longer than usual to go live.”

Ghost Invoice

Sellers reported via email and E-Commerce EKG that they were receiving messages from eBay regarding old invoices from June, July, and August, such as, “Your invoice for July 15, 2019 is ready for download.” Not surprisingly, some sellers were concerned that they might be being double-invoiced.

Postage and payment issues

A seller reported problems printing postage yesterday and said a buyer reported eBay would not combine payments today. A post on the eBay board sparked a discussion about the problems others were experiencing.

Additionally, eBay reported the following issue today, which was resolved at 8:47 PM ET.

Item Details

eBay said it was "having issues modifying, creating, or removing listings in the Apparel, Shoes, and Accessories categories." On this thread, several sellers discussed the issues they were experiencing, with one sharing a screenshot of the message ("There appears to be a problem with this listing. Item Details - Missing item size, ...")

Seller Center

"We have received reports of technical issues with Seller Central, including sales data not being up to date," eBay wrote. In this e-commerce EKG report, one seller wrote, "The sales graphs for today and the previous three days are missing."

Technical issues happen. Once sellers know about a specific problem, it saves them time and hassle, so kudos to eBay for using the message boards to alert sellers to current issues. One seller wrote today after finding a thread about the problem: "Glad to know it's not just me - I've been having listings with the same feeling of error messages forever. I'll put it aside for now. Then try again tomorrow."

“Great day to take off from listing,” another seller wrote after learning of the technical issues.
